When Can I Start Smoking After Surgery?

I m 17 years and 11 months old and I had my rhinoplasty exactly a weeks ago. Everything went good from what the doctor told me. The only problem was I had a lot of blood during the operartion. I guess that s cuz I stopped smoking 2-3 days before the surgery. I didn t know I wasn t suppost to smoke for at least 2 weeks but anyways I don t smoke that much. I know that I am not supposed to smoke after the surgery but for how long?

Thanks for asking to HCM.I understand your concern
Brief answer: At least after 3-4 weeks,For better cure minimum after 2 to 3 months
Detailed Answer:
I Understand your concern. If i was your physician, would advise to avoid smoking for at least 3-4 weeks post rhinoplasty surgery as most of the healing occurs during this period.I would also advise to avoid smoking minimum for 2-3 months for better cure as the residual swelling takes lot of time to subside nearly 6 months to even 1 year.I would also suggest you to consult about the recovery period with the surgeon and limit or avoid smoking during that whole time period.Hope this information helps you.Take care
