When Can Alcohol Be Consumed After Recovering From Jaundice?
Hii I recovered from jaundice last month. Taking juices and healthy food.avoiding Nonveg and alcohol.taking liver 52 ds daily. How long should i wait to start drinking, though i am not heavy drinker i ...occasionally drink in a month for 2-3 times and also in limited quantity.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Following contact with jaundice, the liver tissues takes about 6 to 8 weeks for complete recovery. Hence, you can start taking alcohol in limited quantities if you wish to only after 2 months. Kindly get your liver function test and ultrasound scan done, and consult Physician to make sure liver is normal before starting alcohol intake again. Hope the information provided helps. All the best. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
