When Can I Have A Sauna Bath After Inguinal Hernia Surgery?

I had general surgery to repair an inguinal hernia on 4 Aug 2014. Today is Wed, 13 Aug. My question is, when can I have a sauna bath? I am concerned about high heat and bacteria getting into the incision. My doctor surgeon used the durobond type of dissolveable stitching.

Good Day and thank you for being with healthcare magic!

Generally speaking it takes 6 weeks for a surgical wound to heal completely. I would suggest seeing your doctor and asking him personally. THis would also give him the opportunity to examine your wound and check if it has already closed completely.
