When Can I Take A Pregnancy Test?

7 days past iui. IVF abandoned due to no egg during retrival, Dr's suggested IUI as back up as egg may have been released pre egg collection. Only 1 follicle - 14.5mm, AMH of 1.5. Husband's count very high. Normal supplements post IUI taken. Symptons - sore and heavy breasts, burst of nausea throughout the day, very irritable and itchy belly. Are these early preg. signs or side effect of supplements? When can I take a home preg. test?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Home pregnancy test can be taken using a fresh early morning sample of urine three weeks after the IUI, if you do not receive your natural menstrual period by then. Blood test for pregnancy can be done earlier, ten days after the IUI, assuming that this coincides with release of the ovum. Your symptoms are not specific for pregnancy; they can be seen in the premenstrual period as well. If pregnancy tests are negative, you can wait for your period to set in in a week. Hope this helps.
