When Can One Walk Post Femur Fracture Surgery?

I had femur fracture surgery 6 weeks ago. I still have pain and swelling from hip to foot. I am not able to walk without a walker and that too on one leg. I also feel bulge or bump of bone on my thigh. When will my swelling and pain go away and when will I be able to walk.
