When Can Pregnancy Be Planned After A Missed Abortion?
hello doctor.
i was 2 and a half mobth pregnent when i experianced cramping acoompanied by rown spotting. The doctor suspected that the fetus wasn't growing properly and told me to go for an U/S. The ultrasound showe an 8 wks fetal pole with no cardiac activity. apperently I had a missed abortion. The fetus was dead five days I didnt com to know. Yesterday my doctor performed a D&C and removed the fetus. I was suffering from hypothyroidism and had TSH level 18 but T3 well within the accepted normal range.Was taking Thyroxine 62.5. Since I had experienced mild spotting the previous month I was being given Corion Inj. weekly and Duphaston. Could you suggest why the missed abortion happened . And how soon can I start trying to conceive again?

Missed abortion can be due to various reasons like:
1. Chromosomal anomaly in the fetus
2. Hypothyroidism
3. Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome
3. Deranged blood sugar levels
You should get investigated for these conditions and get appropriate treatment timely in next pregnancy.
You can plan pregnancy at least 6 months after the abortion.
