When Do Periods Begin After Taking Althea Pills?

Hi. I am taking Althea pills since. I finished my 1st pack already. And this is my 3rd day free pill, I have no period still until today. I haven t had sex since I took Althea & not missed a pill. What is the reason of this? And after the 7days free pill, is it daw for me to take my 2nd box of Althea pills? I hope you can help me with this since I m so bothered about my situation. Thank you and hoping for a response.

Althea is a 21-cycle birth-control pill. It is composed of Cyproterone acetate and Ethinyl Estradiol.
Ideally, you should get your periods during the 7 pill free days.
However, delayed menstruation cycle can happen till you complete 2 packs of Althea. Hence, do not be worried. You can start the fresh pack after 7 pill free days, irrespective of the status of menstrual periods.
In case it happens again, then you need to seek medical attention by consulting Obstetrician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
