When Do Periods Start After Stopping Meprate Intake?

Hi, I have a normal period cycle of 28 days. Last month, my periods were due on 27 Feb but I had to postpone it for a few days, So, my doctor prescribed me Meprate 10 mg twice a day to be started from 24th Feb. I took the same and on 1st March at night, saw a brown spot. So, I stopped taking the medicine further and had my periods for normal duration. Now my periods were due on Mar 31st but they are 7 days late. Is it normal? Also, How much maximum time should I wait ? I am really tensed as my cycle has never been late before.

Hello,

You have been having regular cycles all the time. As this is happening for the first time you needn't worry. You can wait for a week or 2 for your periods. If it doesn't happen you can take Meprate for 5 days and wait for withdrawal bleeding. Wait for the next cycle and see the pattern. If you are getting it right next time no issues if not you can go for further evaluation. Before taking Meprate for withdrawal periods you can do a pregnancy test so that it is not missed.
