When Does Blood Sugar Level Elevation Occur Post Cortisone Shot?

I had a cortisone shot in kneeyesterday. I wass told my blood sugar would go up. I checked it at 12:00 it was 242 I checked again at 2:00 it was 306. I checked again at 3:45 it was 263. When should I get nervous about it.? I have no email address sorry.

Corticosteroids have glucose sparing effect. That is they use other fuels for metabolism and keep the glucose for rainy days. A game of hormones eventually leads to cushings and diabetes etc. Gt to an endocrinologist and use steroids only if justified and under strict monitoring.
