Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Avastin takes atleast a month to know whether the action is there or not and a few days are not enough to judge the same . Avastin attacks the new vessels which get formed in diabetes and hypertension and prevents them for forming again as new vessels are the one which bleed in such conditions and it also reduces the amount of edema i.e. the collection of fluid in the eye. Sometimes one injection is not sufficient and a patient may require more than one.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
