When Does Follicle Rupture Occur During The Menstrual Cycle?

Hi, My doctor told me that my two follicles will rupture on day 13th and advised me to try for conception on those days and few days prior which we did. Now today is 14th day. Should we continue having intercourse to try for pregnancy? how can I know if my eggs have ruptured and fertilised or not? Am confused. Kindly guide.

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.

Yes you must do. Even you must had started two days before and try to continue till 3 days after.

This is because the sperm can live upto three days within the female body and same is case with the egg. Egg can be viable for fertility three days after the ovulation (rupture of follicle).

Hope you got the answer for your query. In case you want further assistance you can write back to us we will be happy to help.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
