When Does The Swelling On Knuckle Subside After Fracture?

I fractured my knuckle on my pointer finger left hand. I had it in a splint for 5 weeks. I have regained most movement but there is still swelling. When will that go away? I feel the last bit of swelling is the cause of not being able to fully close my fist.
