When Does Withdrawal Bleeding Start After Taking Mifegest Pill?

Hi,My wife is 30 yrs old.We have a son who is 20 months old now.
My wife has conceived and we don't want to continue.so my wife has taken the First pill of mifegest kit yesterday evening after meal.its 24 hrs passed but bleeding has not yet started. KINDLY ADVISE.

Hello,
Self-medication for induction of a medical abortion is not advisable. This is because of the risk of trying to abort an ectopic pregnancy which can lead to grave danger and also the possibility of incomplete abortion that can lead to heavy bleeding, infection and infertility in future. Please see a specialist for a clinical evaluation, a trans-vaginal sonogram to locate the gestation sac and the age of the pregnancy and get a proper prescription. Usually, with proper dosage and if the pregnancy is under 9 weeks, symptoms are observed within 6-12 hours of intake of the first dose. Take care.
