When Is DPT Vaccine Required?

Should I get a DPT booster? I am 57 with high blood pressure (under control with medication). My son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first child in 6 weeks and have asked me to get a DPT booster since pertussis can be deadly to a newborn. I do not remember when/if my last DPT vaccination was.
