General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, Usually a cyst in the scrotum does not require surgical removal. Only if it is painful or infected does it require removal. If you are having pain as you say, you should consult your surgeon and he can examine you and advice whether surgical removal is the right answer. Without examining you it is very difficult for me to say whether to remove it or not. Second option is to get an Ultrasound Scrotum done and send it to us on the site by leaving a direct or a Specialist query and we can get back to you with exactly what to do.
However, cysts usually do not lead to any complications, so do not worry.
Take care,
Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
