Alcohol consumption is responsible for increasing the risk of
fatty liver disease, hepatic fibrosis, hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, certain cancers, raised blood pressure, stroke,
peptic ulcer and congenital malformations. It also increases the risk of many family, work and social problems. Hepatocytes and parenchymal cells are the main targets of alcohol and its toxic metabolites, producing generation of molecules known as
reactive oxygen species (ROS) which cause deleterious effects on liver cells.
You have recently suffered from liver disease. So your liver is still in recovery phase. It will take time to recover completely. Also what kind of liver disorder is not clear from what you have written. Was it hepatic A or B or C??
Advice
1. Do not consume alcohol at least for 6 months after recovery
2. Before starting drinking alcohol, check – serum
bilirubin, SGPT/SGOT, and
hepatitis B & C screening
3. Take proper rest. Do not involve in strenuous activity for few months.
4. Make sure that you drink clean, uncontaminated water
5. Take vegetables and fruit juice.
6. Divide your meals into smaller portions and eat them frequently during the day
7. Avoid oily & spicy food
