When Is An Ultrasound Scan Suggested During Pregnancy?

Hi, Iam 24years now. I did preganacy test in homw itself. its showed positive to me.. My LMP was november 13 2014. Now am in 51 st day ... I have pcod and irregual periods as wel. Last month as presecribed by doctor, i had clofert for 5 days. now when can i go for scan ??? I dont have any symptoms like nausea, vomitting.. Kindly suggest me what to do ??

see ultrasound is done in various phases of pregnancy....most commonly done in 1st trimester around 7-8 weeks for the gestational sac and fetal cardiac monitoring....sometimes around 11-12 weeks for nuchal folds etc and around 20 weeks for anomaly scan....then another near the end of pregnancy....

so probably its time you go for a ultrasound scan if suggested by your doctor....
