When Is Intercourse Safe After Recovering From Vaginal Infection?

Im currently using candid v3.. it has just passed one night (1st tablet) but I haven’t seen any white discharge yet. Does it only come out after the complete 3 days? Or every single time each tablet is inserted? And then.. how long after the treatment (last tablet used) can i have unprotected sex with my husband? Let’s say im using this from monday - Wednesday, is it safe for me n husband to have unprotected sex on Thursday?

Hello,

As you are taking treatment for vaginal infection. Along with that, you can use tablet azithromycin, tablet cefixime, and clotrimazole pessaries. Complete the course as advised. This treatment may continue up to 10 to 15 days also if symptoms recur. During this period use condoms to protect your husband from infection. Keep that part clean. Keep yourself well hydrated. It's always better to avoid unprotected sex till complete recovery. Kindly follow with detailed history or consult with a gynaecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale
