Hi,

Thanks for posting in HCM.

I understand your concern.

Mensovit plus is medication used to regularize irregular and prolonged period. It is not a contraceptive pill. Hence, by taking the doses like you have done within 72 hours, it would certainly not help to prevent prevent pregnancy.

Ideally, you should have taken 'Morning-after-pill' like i pill or Plan B, which is an emergency contraceptive pill. These pills need to be taken as a single dose within 72 hours after an unprotected intercourse. Earlier it is taken, protection seems to be better. It prevents pregnancy from happening by causing breakthrough bleeding within 3 weeks from the day of its intake.

It appears in your case the time has lapsed to take morning-after-pill. You need to anticipate for your periods to happen as usual. In case there is delay in periods by a week, you need to take urine pregnancy test and consult Gynecologist promptly for clinical evaluation and further management.

Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
