September October November is best time to get flu vaccination easily available at all pharmacies and is usually safe. It covers many strains of influenza and parainfluenza viruses and gives cover for whole winter season.
But if one get flu even after the shots, he may take anti-inflammatory and anti allergic medications simply to alleviate symptoms.
