When Should Actilax Be Taken?

I have been taking Nu Lax for some time but the amount to take is difficult because it varies in strength. I did have Actilax in hospital many years ago after a nasty operation for a hernia - caused by straining. I now have a bottle of Actilax but it does not say when to take it. I want to start with 20ml and I thought bedtime was ok. But I don t to be up and off to the toilet at 1.30am. Help!
