When Should I Have Sex To Conceive After My LMP?

hello doctor,
this is neha from Bangalore.We have a 5 yr old daughter and we are trying for another baby now.I am 30 years old.June 2st 2010 was the last monthly period after tht we tried on 1,2,4 and 6th of July.Normally i have very regular periods every 26-28 days but this time i got my period on26th of July tht makes it a 36 day cycle.My HPT tests were negative.
I have 2 queries
a.was it a delayed period or did i miscarry very early?
b.if 26th July is the l.M.p on which days should we have 'love making'in order to conceive and it should be on alternate days or daily

Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
Yoy have rwgular periods .. this time on 21st of June &had unprotected sex on early days of July... they happened to be in most fertile days..... so your dealyed period on 26th of July might be an early micarraige ( many of early prwgnancies end this way due to some problems due to early formations).There is no way to confirm the possibilty now.
Any way... you can conceive by unprotected sex around ovulation day (rupture of follicle)... 2 days before ,2 days after &on the ovulation day.
* The ovulation day in a regular menstrual cycle is 14 days before expected date of menatruation./it can also be known by using LH surge test at home .
* this way have sex once a day or alternate days as per your convinience...for good chances of conception.
