When Should A New Pack Of Althea Pills Be Started?

I am an althea user and I only tried one pack. 4 days after taking 21 days tablet I had my menstruation. Is it safe to take pill starting 1st day of period since it is on the middle of the 7 days of free tablet ? And is it normal to have early menstruation not finishing the 7 day of free tablet ?

Hello,

You should start the new package of pills on the first day of the period. It is normal that period may come a bit earlier. Throw away the old package and start new one.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
