When Should A Pregnancy Test Be Done?

Hi. I have missed my period. I used to get it on a Friday or Saturday, but the past 2 months I got it on Tuesday, the month before that on Wednesday, the month for that on Thursday, and the month before that I missed it. I know you were supposed to wait until one week after your missed period to do a pregnancy test so I was wondering if I can test now or if I need to wait until Saturday.
