When Should Be Mycrogynon Be Taken?

I m about to start taking mycrogynon for the first time, but for the purpose of preventing periods rather than contraception. What will happen if I start taking it today rather than on the first day of my next period? I m 16, 5 8, around 9 stone and healthy.
