When Should I Take Glycomet 500 S R For Blood Sugar? Before Meals Or After Meals?

I am prescribed with Glycomet 500 S R for blood sugar, to be taken in the morning. Is it to be taken before meals or after. My FBS is 128mg/dl and PPBS is 187mg/dl. this is the first time I am diagnosed with sugar complaint. Pl. advise.

Hello,
GLYCOMET SR 500 mg is to be taken before meals and make sure that you observe appropriate dietary control measures along with the regular aerobic exercises for al least 45 minutes a day along with the medication.
Anti diabetic medicines prove to be useless if you don't control your diet.
Avoid sweets,colas,junk foods and sugary drinks.
Keep a regular check on your blood sugar levels and if they increase in spite of medicines,it would mean revision of your medicines.
