When Should The Sutures Adjacent To The Eye Be Removed?

My 8 year old son had stitches put adjacent to his right eye 4 days ago secondary to a laceration. The cut was about 1.5 cm long and in the relaxed skin tension lines. It seems as if the skin edges have necrosed slightly due to agressive handling of wound edges during closure. What is your rec on when to remove sutures. Skin edges look well coapted at this time. I'm just concerned about dehiscence.

Because of young age and suture on face heal very fast.

Suture on face can be removed as early as 5-7 days after assessing wound status.

One factor would be as it is close to eye, should check for effect of lid movement on wound opposition and may allow 2-3 days in case there effect by movement.
