When To Consume The Medicine Ovulet?

Hi am amey madam, am having tab ovulet for five days ,started from the date of menses.will it be ok? its a Doctor precribe but i was a bit confuse,weather it should be taken started from the menses or after menses is over,pliz need your advice.tnk u

Hi,

Ovulrt tablet contains clomiphene citrate, which is used for ovulation induction usually this tablet is advised to take from the second or third day of the menstrual cycle for 5 days. Starting the tablets early in the menstrual cycle like in the first day can lead to the development of multiple dominant follicles, which can lead to multiple gestation and in case of failure of conception this can lead to wastage of antral follicles.

If started late like after completion of menstrual period that may not lead to the development of good dominant follicles. So, better to start from second or third day of the menstrual cycle and should be taken for 5 days. Then you have to follow with follicular study to track the ovulation as suggested by your doctor.
