When To Take Birth Control Pills?

Hi
I went to my doctor 2 days ago. The birth control pill I used to take (21 pills) isnt available here so I needed a new one. On Wednesday I took my last pill so Im in my "break" now. My doctor said that I should take the first loestrin 24 Fe pill on my first day of my next period which I should get tomorrow. I thought that you just do this when you take a birth control for the very first time.? In the enclosed label it says that I should wait seven days and then start with Loestrin 24 Fe. I am a little bit confused now and I dont know what to do.
