Hello;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
The first use of chemotherapy was done in 1940 with nitrogen mustard and folic acid antagonist drugs by then nitrogen mustard was used in a chemical warfare.The first drugs were tested in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia(ALL) and they were aminopterin and amethopterin which is now known as methotrexate and it was used in 1948.And slowly the therapy was introduced in other forms of cancers and new drugs were added.
