When Will My Wrist And Fingers Move After A Fractured Mid-humerus?

i fractured mid-humerus 9 weeks ago, have radial nerve palsy, wrist drop and cannot move fingers. the consultant says hand may take up to 18 mths to fully heal. but i am worried as there is no change yet at 9 weeks, when should i expect to see initial small change in wrist, and when should i get worried. i do not want to lose my job.
