When Will Patechiae Disappear?

I take coumadin for treatment of pe. I have factor five Leiden. I am 47 years old. I finish my coumadin in March. But last night after sex I developed patechiae everywhere I am not concerned from a health stand point but as I know this can happen. But rather tis is vanity. How long till they disappear?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Petechiae means platelet dysfunction. Therefore, check your platelet count immediately.

Also check for prothrombin time and INR etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
