When Will The Normal Period Starts After An Abortion?

Hi, I had medical abortion on 9th September 2012. But till now i am bleeding. doctor suggested me to have Trenaxa - mf and ethasyl 250, both thrice a day. I took the 1st dose, but now i m worried that whether it will affect the abortion process? and just wanted to confirm that when will my next periods begin?

Hello dear, I understand your concern.In my opinion the bleeding after medical abortion might persist for 1- 2 weeks.If irregular or continuous bleeding persists more than that period then it might suggest incomplete abortion.Usually a ultrasound need to be done on 14 th day after medical abortion to ensure complete abortion.So consider getting an ultrasound.And if it is normal tranexa and etamsylate can be taken.If products are found then it needs D&C to remove them.Nothing to worry.
