When Will The Taste Return After Chemotherapy?

my husband has finished 4 rounds of chemotherapy on a 21 day cycle. He lost his taste for foods an nothing tasted right or good. After the completion of the chemo a lot of taste came back but not 100%...he has just had non-invasive surgery (Thoracic) to remove the tumor from his right lung and now says his taste has gone back to how it was during chemo...will his taste return and when, how long will this take?

Hi

It is quite natural to loose taste after chemotherapy.

It generally takes 1 month of time after chemotherapy for taste to return to normal.

You can use hexidine mouth wash twice daily.

Regards
