Which Is An Effective Drug For Pseudomonas And Haemphilus Influenzae With No Side Effects?

I was diagnosed a number of years ago with NTM a nontuburcular mycobacterium.The infectious disease dr I consulted with suggested zI start aggressive treatment with a number of high powered antibiotics including rifampin etc. After doing much reasearch i learned that this drug regimen in many cases did nothing to help or inhibit the condition, therefor, I decided not to take that route. However, on occassion I dcontact haemopholis influenza and pseudomonas aer. At prest I am battling another round, it has been 4 1/2 yrs of pseudomonas, the doctor has prescribed cipro which worked well the last time with few or no side effects. I would like to know which other drugs may be affective with little or no side effects. I await an educated second opinion. Thank You, Rosemary

helo n welcom. the best way to deal with infections is to take specimen for culture before starting antibiotics. for H.I ceftriaxone i.v 1g bd n then according to culture results.
for P.aeruginosa aztreonam or piperacillin +tazobactam empirically n then according to culture results. thanx....
