Which Is The Most Effective Treatment For Bell's Palsy?

my husband was diagnosed with bells palsy 3 weeks back .....and now he strated psyiotherapy psyiotherpiest is doing ice treatment and at home he is applying warm cloth on effected part ....is safe to do so.....which one is more effective. also want to know which treatment is more effective to get back the symmmetry

As per your complain Bell's Palsy also known as facial nerve palsy which can occurs due to either trauma, inflammation or viral infiltration of the nerve that can cause infection of the facial nerve that is a seventh cranial nerve and supplies muscles of face.
Any disorder related to it can cause paralysis of the affected side..
First of all the exact reason for the Bell's Palsy has to be ruled out..
If the underlying cause is cured gradually the symptoms will also subside..
He can be advised you to take steroids, vitamin B-complex supplements and cold compresses on the affected side for faster recovery..
If there is viral infection anti-viral medication like Acyclovir can be given..
As far as his current treatment is concerned that is physiotherapy and alternate warm and cool compresses is concerned it is appropriate treatment and can be continued under supervision of a neurophysician..
