Which Part Of Colon Is The Mass Located In?

Mr. Brown, an 86-year-old patient with suspected colon cancer, underwent a colonoscopy. A large mass was found 12 centimeters proximal to the splenic flexure. Which part of the colon is this located in? Trace the route of the colonoscope to the location of the mass.

Hi. The colon has following parts. From right lower abdomen the colon starts as cecum-> ascending colon ,going upto liver-> turns to left as transverse part ( wherein the mass is located -> turns down in the left area from spleen as descending part-> sigmoid -> rectum and last is anal canal. The part is in the upper middle of your abdomen. ( 12 cm proximal to splenic flexture)
