Which Specialist Should One Consult For A Mouth Cancer?
My Husband just recently had a biopsy done from under his tougne and the results came back as superficial cancer., The biopsy was done by a DMD Doctor, we now need to find a doctor that can help with a cure for this, we have been waiting for a referral from the DMD and he has not returned our calls., so my question is what kind of Doctor do I need to look for here in Columbia,SC. To get started on a treatment for this?, I appreciate your help in this.

Based on your husband biopsy report it is confirmed malignancy. You need to consult surgical oncologist for further management and it depends upon the clinical staging.
For a superficial cancer and without nodes, there will be a simple excision. If nodes are palpable, then surgeon will plan for radical treatment.
