Which Specialist Treats Dislocated Ankle?

Broke my ankle 4 months ago and dislocated my ankle developed a wound I am going to wound care and it is much improved Screws were used to repair ankle but they worked their way through foot and I had surgery to remove them ankle bone started working way through foot and was taken off Monday ortho dr recommends btk amputation. What kind of dr should I see for another oponipn

Hi..Can understand your concern.As per your query about replacement of ankle which was fractured and dislocated earlier... I guess there would had been much less complication if you had consulted an orthopaedic doctor from the starting....This kind of bone related surgeries and treatments are performed by orthopaedic surgeon and for second opinion you should consult another orthopaedic surgeon who has higher experience and specialized in knee and ankle replacement specially and follow the best advice.I hope the information helps you.you're welcome for any further query.Take care.
