Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
You must always keep your face clean by washing it with water several times a day. Do not use soap every time you wash your face, unless it is a very mild one, or rich in moisturizing oils. After washing your face, gently pat it dry.
Twice a week, you should also exfoliate your skin in order to remove dead skin cells and dirt from the pores on your skin. Make a paste by mixing two tablespoons of honey, a teaspoon each of rice powder, sandalwood powder and turmeric powder, and apply this scrub on your face.
drink the water kept overnight in a copper vessel on an empty stomach the next morning.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.

Dear
Leucodermal patches as per ayurveda are deep seated in skin and the discoloration is due to lack of melanin. Lot of reseach on the topic has revealed that it is due to auto immune diseases that also include liver and worms as abnormality. In treatment both internal and external treatment have major role to play. It is long term treatment that shows results. There are three types of drugs used to cure. 1. Immuno booster 2. Blood purifier and 3. colour providing agents. Bavachi is major colour providing agent, neem chirayata etc. are blood purifiers and giloya etc are immuno boosters. Use of liver tonics copper bhasam and wormicide along with above medicines offer good relief.

Hi,
The white patch or spot is called Leucoderma and when it occurs without any proceeding disease it is called Vitiligo.
Under the skin condition, certain parts of the skin gradually lose color leaving behind white patches. This occurs due to loss of Melanin, a dark pigment which gives color to skin. It may begin with a small patch but slowly and steadily spreads throughout the body. This is not a dangerous or contagious skin disease.
The actual cause is still unknown. Some of the perceived causes are emotional stress, hereditary factors, worms, sunburns, physical illness and anemia.
Tips to be kept in mind.
Get a sun bath in the early hour of morning.
Avoid cosmatics kike cream, powder, and other triggering agents.
Avoid citrus fruits , tamarind, fish, crabs and prawns.
Eat iron contant foods and green leafy vegetables.
1.Take Aloe vera, amla juice 30 ml daily twice before food.
2.Take Maha manjisthadi kashayam 30 ml daily twice with equal quantity of water after food.
3.Thiruphala rasayanam 5gms at bed time.

1. duration of treatment is one year, but please tell about the duration of disease? because the duration of treatment is not proportional to the skin involvement because of disturbed immunity and immune system.
2. mainly these white patches are external manifestation of some internal problem, so any history of protein loss? (chronic diarrhea or mal absorption)
3. avoid sea food,sweet lime,excess salt,sour and fermented food,oranges,tea,coffee,alcoholic beverages,white flour,polished rice,avoiding emotional and excess of physical stress.
4. treatment of your condition is quite long and requires necessary supervision and consultation.
5. try exposing the affected part to ultraviolet rays of the sun, which helps in re pigmentation.
6. Immunomodulators (Rasayan Chikitsa) and Liver tonics to improve Immunity and digestion along with ghritakumari, guduchi, guggul are helpful in this condition.
