White Patches On Lower Part Of Both Legs, Same Size Like Mirror Effect. On Medication For High BP And Diabetes. Treatment?
hi doctor, I was getting these white patches on my lower part of the legs, it started about one year ago. Strange enough the white patches appeared on both legs at the same time and they are like a mirror effect. same area and same size on both legs. I am on medication for high blood pressure and diabetes for last 10 yrs. I would be so grateful if you can tell me why I've got these and what kind of treatment I need as I'm unable to where anything other than long trousers as I'm so conscious of it. Thanking you Taz
Hi.the white patches over the lower legs is vitiligo.as they are symmetrical it is unlikely they are due to drugs used for bp and diabetes. vitiligo as got varied etiology rule out any source of infection like eye.ent or uti use trimop forte tablet at 9 am and apply placentrex gel at 11am and expose to sunlight for fifteen minutes and wash off .apply a steriod cream like tenovate in the night.use iron .b12 and biotin supplementation .if it is unstable go for oral steriods or levamisole 150 mg weekly twice
