Whiteheads On Tattoo, Not Popping. Should I Seek A Dermatologist?

I got a tattoo about 6 months ago, it s a pretty big piece. It has a lot of color in it. A month ago I noticed real tiny white heads on the tattoo, only. You can t squeeze them, they will not pop. I used a sterile needle to open one up and it was a fairly hard white ball. I have at least 100 of them. Should I seek a dermotoglist? Thanks for your help!
