The probable cause is Degenerative disease of the disc or Spondylolisthesis,However there is another condition so-called “clinical” or “functional” instability, in which no defect of the body architecture of the lumbar spine, and no excessive detectable translation or rotation are shown. However, a poor trunk muscle function and/or an insufficient motor control is a factor in abnormal inter-segmental movement and LBP. Thus to help u more need to know your age, sex and occupation. It would be good to evaluate the lump which can be done by a GP. Also need to do a CRP/ESR Hb, TC,DC with a urine culture. Continue the exercises and perhaps a Diazepam 5 mgm daily at bedtime for 15 days.
