Why Acne Reappear Since I Stopped Using Clinique?

hi doc. i have issues about my acne and i never had this bad before. since i stopped using clinique, i have been using different creams, toners, facial wash and moisturizer. now, my friend advised me to use Katialis, a local cream product from the Philippines. Every night i put cream all over my face, thin layer, as what have advised. but im seeing no sign of effect; its getting worst then. i feel so bad about my situation right now. please help me doc. Thanks

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne problem which occurs when sebum get accumulated along with dead skin and bacteria in clogged pore of sebaceous gland. Now once you stopped using clinique, acne reappearing, so you should start with use of topical antibacterial clindamycin gel as a spot treatment for acne during day time and at night you may use a topical retinoid like Adapalene gel. Exfoliate your skin one a week to remove the dead skin from your face. If condition doesn't start getting better in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment. Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotic course clindamycin or isoteritenoin. Apply betnovate on acne twice a day for 2-3 days.
