Why Am I Becoming Very Weak With Throat Tightness That Makes It Difficult To Eat ?

hi, i recently have become very weak, for the last couple years offand on ive had throat tightness which makes it hard to eat i didnt have this symptoms until i stopped smoking marijuana and ciggarrettes two weeks ago, except for i had the throat tightness issue. my visison has changed its blurry and almost glowy, i have a very tight neck and my back hurts. i get extremely tired but my body wont let me sleep that long i woke up in a cold sweat before typing this i have the chills now too. i have been having this weird electrical feeling in my chest that radiates to my limbs. 3 years ago i worked out everyday and people thought i did steroids because my muscles blew up so fast. but i didnt do steroids. sometimes i get a weird metallic taste in my mouth, but all the doctors here say its anxiety! its just hard to believe all my muscles are stiffing up and after i eat i get real dizzy please help it feels like im going to die.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to anxiety. But, before coming to this conclusion, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam and some tests:
- A brain MRI
- Complete blood count for anemia
- Thyroid hormone levels for thyroid gland dysfunction
- Blood electrolytes for possible imbalance
- Vitamin D and vitamin B12 plasma levels for possible deficiency.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
