Why Am I Bleeding Blood Clots At 2 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
hello 2 weeks ago i found out i was 5 weeks pregnant, and on wednesday i started to bleed, with small clots, i went to my gp n he said i had to wait a week for a trans vag ultra sound, i have just done a pregnancy test which is now negative, should i still attend my apointment at the early pregnancy unit??
How was your pregnancy diagnosed at 5 weeks? Was it a confirmed diagnosis?
If it was a confirmed diagnosis, now you are having bleeding clots and the pregnancy test is negative; it means that the abortion process has started and the baby inside is not viable. In that case, the diagnosis of missed abortion has to be confirmed and the pregnancy to be terminated asap to avoid further complications like bleeding disorder (DIC), kidney failure, etc.
I have got a doubt whether your pregnancy was confirmed at 5 weeks. If it was not, most likely you are having delayed menses.
Of course the diagnosis will be confirmed by the ultrasonohraphy only. So please do not miss the appointment. If possible, get the ultrasonography done earlier to hasten the diagnosis and the treatment.
I hope, you got proper guidance.
