Why Am I Bleeding From Vagina?

I just found what I think is bleeding from my vagina. It s light, but new blood. I had a partial hysterectomy in 2006 (still have both ovaries) and have not had sex since 2007. I also have not masturbated in several weeks. I ve had endometrial tissue, but it wasn t severe. I ve told my GYN I have occasional pain in my pelvis, below the hip bones, and have thought it might be endometrial tissue affecting my ovaries and other pelvic areas. I had a C-section in 1995, and a D&E in 2000. I m 54. I thought this was a FREE service.

Hi,

If you had endometriosis and retained ovaries during hysterectomy, it is necessary to get an ultrasound scan to see what is happening inside.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. B. Radhakrishnan. Nair, OBGYN
