Why Am I Experiencing Hollow Sound In Ear?

Hi, I was diagnosed with mumps back in 2005, which infected my right ear. From then on, I only can hear with my left ear. Recently, I am experiencing a slight hollow sound, especially when I hear someone speak or listen to music. It s like the tone is monotonous. Not very obvious but enough to annoy me. What could this be?
