Why Am I Finding Difficult To Sleep?

My husband is 57years old. He has always been a slim man, however, in the past year, he has lost about 30 lbs, he has problems staying asleep, after about 4 hours of sleep. He eats only one meal a day. He drinks coffee all day long. He eats chocolate or sweets constantly. He also has no sex drive anymore. He works long hours, and used to be full of energy, but now he comes home and sits in his recliner, gets up to eat and gets back into his chair. He refuses to go to the dr, what can I do?

Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
It appears that your husband is having depression. That needs to be treated properly to get him right. He has to see a doctor for this and for that purpose you need to talk to him about how he used to live before and how he is living at present. You need to motivate him to take treatment.
The good available treatments are fluoxetine, mirtazapine, venlafaxine, escitalopram etc. These medicines will take 2 weeks to improve the symptoms.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
