Why Am I Having Brown Discharge After Taking Primolut?
I have 3cm chocolate cyst on left ovary. Dr pres cribed primolut n twice a day to stop periods and shrink cyst. After my prd ended on 19th nov i strd primolut. Since ysterday evening i have brown discharge. Why could this be? Should i go to the dr or wait or increase dosage of primolut

Primolut N contains progesterone in the form of Norethisterone. While using hormonal tablets some amount of irregularity in menstruation can be seen due to the fluctuation of reproductive hormones. The other possibility, of brown discharge is missing the tablet or altering the time of intake of tablets.
The possible steps that can help you are:
-Usually the irregularity in menstrual bleeding can get settled in sometime by normalizing the reproductive hormonal levels. So, you can wait and watch.
-Strictly maintaining the time of intake of tablets.
-If discharge persists, antifibrinolytic drugs can help in decreasing it.
-Even if discharge still persists and if the Body mass index is more than normal, you may need to increase the dose of Primolut N.
